An Invaluable Training Tool: Demanet Bite Suit Donated to Woodhull Police K9 Unit
Thanks to your support, we are making a difference for K9 Units across the country. This April, we donated a Demanet Bite Suit to use for training with K9 KC and others in the Woodhull Police K9 Unit.
From the Demanet website:
“Demanet has been making bite suits longer than any other K9 bite suit manufacturer in the world, offering superior mobility and protection in comparison to our competitors’ “marshmallow man” suits.
We understand that a suit needs to protect the individual wearing it but also offer adequate movement so that the decoy can move and present real-life scenarios in training to the K9.
Demanet manufactures high end dog training equipment that not only lasts the test of time but also provides realism for the dog and peace of mind for the decoy.”
"I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Our new bitesuit arrived today and it is awesome. We can now conduct protection and bite training at our convenience rather than being at the mercy of other agencies. This will allow much more training and proficiency. Small agency K9 Units like mine wouldn't exist if it weren't for the support we receive from you and those like you."
- Police Chief Chad Hillier, Woodhull Police
Help K9s Just Like KC
The cost to train law enforcement K9s can be high, but these 4-legged officers are lifesaving specialists and are worth the investment.
Due to budgetary constraints, many law enforcement agencies don't have the funding to provide the K9 Units the resources they need. The communities they serve still want and need the K9 officers, making things even more difficult.
It is not only vital that K9s receive the proper training, equipment, and care to do the best possible job, but they deserve it. With our vision to support, honor, strengthen, and provide, K9s United will continue until every law enforcement K9 in need is served.
Please help us raise funds to get needed equipment including harnesses, leads, bite sleeves, bite suits, and muzzles. Consider donating via the link below.
