K9S UNITED BOARD MEMBER

DEPUTY Patrick McGauley & K9 AUDIE

Pat is a deputy and canine handler with the Flathead County Sheriff's Office with his partner Audie. Pat served with the Baker County Sheriff's Office in Florida for 14 years where he handled two previous dual-purpose canines and was a supervisor and canine trainer prior to he and his family fulfilling their dream of moving to Montana. After being hired by Flathead County in 2020 Pat started a patrol dog program for the agency to accompany their two narcotics detection canines in serving the Flathead Valley. Pat and Audie are also attached to the Northwest Montana Regional SWAT team.

Prior to his law enforcement career, Pat spent six years in the Marine Corps Reserves and deployed to Iraq twice, in 2003 with 4th Amphibious Assault Battalion and with Small Craft Company patrolling the Euphrates River in Ramadi in 2006. Pat became involved with K9s United after founder Debbie Johnson reached out to help with the needs of the Baker County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit. Debbie’s genuine concern for working dogs and her drive to provide law enforcement K9 Units with everything they need inspired Pat to assist the organization.

Pat lives in Columbia Falls, Montana with his wife and three children.
